Kleinwort Benson (Guernsey) Goes Live with EPI-USE Country Payrolls

Kleinwort Benson (Guernsey) Services Limited have recently implemented country versions of EPI-USE’s payroll solutions for Jersey and Guernsey. The solutions developed using country numbering supplied by SAP are SAP UK's preferred options for the Islands.

The country versions are part of a series developed by EPI-USE to support countries not implemented by SAP directly. These include Isle of Man, U.A.E., Kenya, Qatar, Botswana, Namibia, Nigeria, Serbia, Uganda, and Vietnam.

Kleinwort Benson Private Bank London Project Manager, Sarah Rees-Williams, says, ‘The project was needed to replace a system that did not comply with our parent company's stringent audit requirements. We already had an outsourced payroll function for our UK offices run by our parent company on SAP and we wanted to run the Channel Islands on the same platform. This involved us working closely not only with EPI-USE, but also Dresdner Kleinwort London, the end users, and Dresdner Bank Frankfurt, where the SAP server was actually based.

‘With so many different companies involved, there were a number of opportunities for things to go wrong. However, the commitment of all parties involved meant that the whole team was engaged and motivated to succeed. The desire not to migrate year-to-date data to the new system meant that we had to go live for the January payroll, the start of the tax year in both Jersey and Guernsey.

‘The project was achieved on time and within budget.’
