Data Sync Manager for ERP is a comprehensive SAP landscape management tool, which enables the selective transfer of SAP® data to non-production systems for testing, training and support.

Using live SAP® ERP application data in testing or training environments is becoming increasingly difficult. Disruption to the landscape with client or system copies, limited disk space and technical support overhead highlight the need for more efficient processes.

Non-production environment refreshes are vital for testing production system support issues with accurate data, support pack testing, user training, and testing new developments/configurations. Anonymity of copied data must also conform to Data Protection standards (e.g. Sarbanes Oxley, UK Data Protection Act or German Works Council).

Data Sync Manager for ERP addresses these issues by enabling the selective transfer of SAP® data from Human Resources, Accounting and Logistics modules between systems within a SAP® system landscape. Data Sync Manager for ERP comprises of two data transfer components -

Client Sync™ is a table-oriented data transfer tool which allows technical personnel to easily build clients in non-production SAP® environments. Client Sync creates test-ing clients quickly and easily by selecting the slice of data needed by time and/or enterprise elements, for example Company Code or Plant. In addition to application data, the user can also decide whether to copy client independent/dependant customising, authorisations, and user masters. Client Sync is installed on both SAP® source and targets systems and no additional server or middleware is required.

Object Sync™ is an object-orientated data transfer tool that enables SAP® functional super users to selectively copy and scramble 260+ SAP® Business Objects from Human Resources, Accounting and Logistics modules. Object Sync enables you to transfer small or large sub-sets of SAP Master Data, Transactional Data, and Hierarchical Data, depending on testing requirements. Object Sync™ can also automatically copy data from a lower Support Pack level/SAP® release to a higher Support Pack Level/SAP® release. Object Sync is ideal for production support resolution and for testing new configurations in your development system. The ability to copy an entire document flow and its associated master data, on demand, is invaluable.

Supported SAP software releases
